Professional Experience
Qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1975 from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, worked from 1975 till June 1983, with various Corporate in India. Joined as Pricncipal Partner of A.K. Kar & Co., Chartered Accountants since June 1983. Has 35 years of pre and post qualification. Experience in conducting audit, have wide experience in accounting, auditing, financial review, merger, Acquisition, contracts, have led team of auditors, worked in India and abroad. Well versed in company laws, Taxation laws and other allied laws, specializing in Micro Credit, conducts training for business entities, Micro Finance Institutions, prepared Training Manuals, conducted corporate trainings, training to professional and business leaders, specializing in Motivation, Leadership & Presentation.

Rotary experience and Assignments
Rtn. Aswini Kar joined Rotary in January 1986 in club of Bhubaneswar & served as President in 1997-1998. During his president ship he received outstanding president of the district award and the club received outstanding club, best club, outstanding Secretary of the district award. The club received District Governor and RI President citation. He has held various positions in the District as District Secretary, District Chairman, Asst. Governor; He has been a Rotary Volunteer to serve abroad. He became the District Governor in 2002-03. He was a member of RI Multi District PETS Committee during 2002-04. He has been elected to serve as Member Trustee of Rotary Awards for Service to Humanity (India) Trust during 2002-2004. HANDS have also appointed him as Project Specialist and Subject Advisor. Rotary Foundation has appointed him as Member of Humanitarian Gants Cadre of Technical Advisors and the Financial Auditors for Small Business and Revolving Loans. He is a Project Specialist in Humanitarian Service Rotarian Action Group of RI. He was appointed as Chief Sergeant at Arms at Rotary Institute, 2004 at Calcutta for Zone 5&6. He was also appointed as Sergeant at Arms at 2003 RI Convention at Brisbane and Chicago Convention 2005. He has been appointed as Rotary International Membership Zone Coordinator (RIMZC) for 2006-08. He was the District Trainer (2004-05) and (2007-08), He has been elected Vice President ITHF, India (2008-10) and appointed World Director Membership, ITHF (2008-10). He was the DRFC (2004-07) of Distrct-3260. He has conducted audit of grants in Southern Africa, Srilanka, and Keneya on behalf of Rotary Foundation.

Rotary Awards and Achievements
He is the recipient of Service above Self Award, Rotary Foundation District Service Award, Four Avenues of Service Citation for Individual Rotarians by Rotary International and Meritorious Service Citation by TRF.

He is a Memorial Contributor & Major Donor (Level one) along with wife Mini Kar. He is also a Benefactor and Member of Bequest Society along with Ann Mini Kar.

Hobby
PDG Aswini Kar enjoys traveling, reading, Internet surfing, making friends and helping others in whatever way he can. Rotary Foundation is very close to his heart. He finds pleasure in motivating members to contribute to Foundation. He never misses an opportunity to motivate non-Rotarians to join rotary.
