• The International Travel and Hosting Fellowship membership, provides a network of members through out the world who are keen to host fellow Rotarians in their home and to show them something of their country and culture.
• The Fellowship was founded in 1990 and is an Incorporated Society associated with Rotary with an International President and Regional Vice Presidents.
• It has a membership around the world of over 2000 from every Rotary Zone and from over 525 Districts.
• A membership directory is issued annually to all members. This is a great resource when planning to visit another Club as a make up and enables you to attend as a friend of a local Rotarian and as such the welcome is very special.
• Members planning travel refer to the directory to identify other ITHF members living in the area. Prospective hosts are contacted 30+ days in advance. They consent to a "connection" (visit) subject to their own convenience and details are worked out between the members.
• "Connections" (visits) may be a meal together attendance at a members Rotary Club, but on most occasions is home hospitality and accommodation for a maximum of three nights. The visit can be for business or leisure.
• Membership in the ITHF implies a desire and intent to accommodate other ITHF visitors; however such "connections" are always subject to the convenience of the hosts.
• The Fellowship also organises interesting tours prior to and after each Rl Annual Convention.
• Twice a year a Newsletter is sent to members telling of the various "Connections" that have been made by members and other interesting travel information.
• The cost of membership of ITHF is $US75.00 for three years, less than one night's accommodation and certainly much more fun.
• Details and application is available at www.ithf.org Membership applications can be made via the web site. Once a member you will receive frequent newsletters and an annual directory of members that is the reference when you are planning a trip.
